Chan Sui Ki Perpetual Help College is a Private Catholic co-educational school run by the Daughters of Mary, Help of Christians (the Salesian Sisters). The school uses St. John Bosco's Preventive System of education, emphasizing the elements of Reason, Religion and Loving-kindness. The school strives to foster family spirit in the students' school life and there are numerous extra-curricular activities going on throughout the school year.
The number of teachers is around 50. There are about 1300 students almost equally divided into the Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary Sections. Chinese is the medium of instruction in the Primary Section while the school uses English as the medium of instruction for Grade 7-11 students. There is an optional Bridging year --- the Preparatory Class---between Grade Six and Grade Seven. Students from Grade 9 and above are streamed into the Science Class and Commerce Class. After Grade 11, students sit for the GCE Examination.
It is the school's particular concern to care for needy students. Starting from September 1997, the Grade 7-9 classes participate in the government's Free-education program. Students of the Primary and Upper Sections are granted the government / school scholarship(s) if they have genuine financial needs. There are teachers and professional counsellors to privide help for students who have difficulties.
It is the school's ultimate concern to provide a joyous, and all-round eduation for youths who study in this school. Hopefully school life will furnish them not only with the ability to lead a decent life but also with years of happy memories to cherish.
